Our history
Forest Business News is the brainchild of Craig Rawlings, a 50+ year veteran in the forest products industry and a nationally-recognized expert in under-utilized timber and woody biomass. Craig — a serial entrepreneur from Missoula, Montana — has founded and led several successful businesses including Forest Business Network, the newsletter’s former owner. He has consulted for over a hundred local and regional companies.
Craig has served as the curator and editor of Forest Business News for its entire decades-long run.
Craig and Forest Business Network’s other two principals — Arnie Didier and Tom Waddell — founded and produced the International Mass Timber Conference & Expo (IMTC), now owned by Trifecta Collective. All three founders continue to help build and innovate IMTC alongside Trifecta’s impressive team of event professionals. The Mass Timber Conference is celebrating over a decade as the world’s leading mass timber event.
